In 1985, singer/songwriter Suzanne Vega released her stunning self-titled debut album. Since then, Suzanne has sold in excess of seven million albums, and is widely regarded as the one of the most brilliant songwriters of her generation. Suzanne reinterpreted the majority of her catalogue in an intimate and personal manner, creating 4 new thematic albums that were originally released over 2010-2012.
Songs of Family is the final volume of Suzanne’s Close-Up Series, with Volume 4 comprising of songs about Suzanne’s family and the people closest to her. These are some of Suzanne’s most intimate works and this collection includes two of her earliest compositions.
